Tenders are not won with generically written proposals.

What will make your response score well and engage the reader is client-focused response. This means:

  • Clearly demonstrating your company can deliver on the tender requirements
  • Showing what benefits and value your proposal brings to the tender table.

In this workshop, your will learn how to: 

  • Identify what is of value to your tender client
  • Learn how to write persuasive  and customer-focused content
  • How to craft persuasive content using evidence
  • How to position your response to effectively meet client requirements and objectives.

 

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN:

The Masterclass covers the key elements of a top-scoring tender response.

Using a tender writing checklist, the course will cover how to plan, develop and write an answer to a tender question.

You will be guided through an example tender question to ensure the response answers the question, is compliant, offers value for money and is written persuasively.

The class covers four separate modules over the two weeks:

Module 1: Analyse the question to understand what it is being asking and how to respond.

Module 2: Develop a compliant response showing how you will meet the tender requirements.

Module 3: Write in winning form with a clear structure and sufficient detail to answer the question comprehensively.

Module 4: Write a compelling response by adding value and evidence, and other tender writing tips.

The Tender Writing Masterclass is designed for people who answer single or multiple questions as part of a tender response.

It will teach you how to capture all the key elements required for a winning tender response.

You typically may be the only person writing the tender, or part of a team completing a tender.

The Tender Writing Masterclass is suited to professionals in a wide variety of roles, and is applicable to multiple industries.

If you are new to tenders, we recommend the Tender Essentials Workshop or the Tender Fundamentals Certificates 1 and 2 as prior learning.

Meet the trainer

Kate Burrows is the founder and Managing Director of the Tender Training College. She has 20 years' of experience across the bidding lifecycle including procurement, tendering and contract delivery.

She has supported some of Australia’s largest companies in the finance, defence, infrastructure, professional services, engineering, not-for-profit and transport sectors to win $30 billion in new business.

Kate has worked as a submission manager, strategist, writer, editor, reviewer and coach across some of the largest and most complex tenders in Australia and New Zealand. Projects include Sydney Light Rail, Inland Rail Project, Sydney Gateway and the Waratah Train Project.

She trains professionals from small and large business to improve their tender performance. Clients include Acer Computers, Certis Security, Transdev Australasia, St John Ambulance, Mission Australia and CPB Contractors.
